I am not sure how my IE got messed up but while patiently waiting for a reply, I clicked on Internet Options-->Advanced-->clicked reset button. I am now using IE but won't mark this issue as solved...

Ran ADW cleaner at least 3 times and restarted each time
Ran thorough scan with MSE: negative

Replaced Graphics Card

I didn't want to waste money on a graphics card but I got a basic one, installed it and now the PC works fine.

I think the Sendori virus has been a big part of this problem. If I can't get consistent restarts, I am going to take your advice and perform a clean reinstall.
