solved... booted to win 8 on a different drive...

solved... booted to win 8 on a different drive and after trying several versions of that missing file with no success one file finally got it to boot by dropping it into windows/system32/drivers

This is solved now. There were several problems....

This is solved now. There were several problems.

1. Initially I was using a displayport cable for the second monitor. Apparently it will be soon, but as of now DisplayPort is not a HDCP...

I also uninstalled and reinstalled WMP and WMC...

I also uninstalled and reinstalled WMP and WMC just for good measure and rebooted between each step.

Additionally I used microsofts DRM reset tool and reset the DRM.
