Nothing happens after I click play, that's all it does. and the shortcut title should be something more like "play the sims" or something, but all it says is "CD drive-shortcut"

I'm not sure what my system specs are, but they're the same or similar to a friend's laptop and the game works just fine on hers. I've tried the compatibility thing and nothing seems to work.

Sims 1 won't run

I managed to install Sims 1 but after clicking play nothing comes up. I have tried troubleshooting the problem, I've uninstalled and reinstalled it, and I've searched for any other solution online...
