I'm also bugged that Catalysts shows the card's Maximum Bus Setting as "PCI Express 2.0 x16" :(

I have Asrock Z77 Extreme4 Mobo + i3 3220 Ivy bridge CPU. I've just added a Sapphire HD 7850 to this and I was expecting it to run @PCI-e x16 v3.0.

But GPU-z reports it's working @x16...

The problem is, my SSD is compatible with my mobo according to specifications. Otherwise I wouldn't push it this much.. In theory it should work at SATA2 speed.

And about getting new set of hardware, new cpu and ram will add nothing to my computing experince. the performance gain will only be on paper (for my needs of course) but an SSD changes the world ;)

Yes I have upgraded SSD firmware to the latest version. Before that, it wasnt even booting on AHCI mode. Just constant BSODs after win7 setup.
