I have just tuned into this thread because of a restore failure from all restore points - I tried the sfc /scannow which showed a file of the same name, but 'enter' or 'open as administrator' caused...

How to change "Date modified" in folders

XP used to have several choices of date modified times - such as 'Recently',' Last Month' etc.

I only have 'Earlier this year' and 'A long time ago'.

Cannot open Help folders.

The "Help' file in some programs are all .chm files and "Windows cannot open these files" is the inevitable error message. .chm is not listed in the list of file formats accessed from the control...

How do I change the message size in WLM?

Many incoming messages are too large for the normal window and require the use of the lateral slider to read the message. Reducing the Font size in options does not seem to cure this.

apostrophe problem solved

Having had the similar problem with the apostrophe, I changed the font on live mail to times new roman and the encoding to unicode 8 and this solved the problem.
Windows 7Pro, 64 bit.

using WIndows 7 pro. 64 bit and IE 9 -On any open web-pag'e links referring to other websites, usually in blue, opened easily to the new web page.
Now, L-clicking on the link shows the faint image...

Using windows 7 and live mail, an apostrophe used in an outgoing mail changes to a series of characters which I can only illustrate by an attachment.
