it needs driver, I have 2nd Seagate - same trouble. Tired of all that I used Fixio Driver Finder - it detected missing driver and installed it =) also updated my nvidia drivers :)

I used Fixio Driver Finder to get drivers for win7. :) it scans the system and downloads missing or corrupted drivers. At least it helped me with the same truble.

try Fixio Driver Finder. :) it's gonna find corrupted driver and replace it with new one. you don't have to be a computer expert and know all the details.
