I have had a similar problem with my 2 XFX 9800GTx+ in SLI and by themselves. Except it only happens under a heavy load in a game. Would this also be a tdrdelay problem?

A really quick and easy fix is to simply remove the NVIDIA Control Panel context menu handler, NvCplDesktopContext manually from the registry. Its just a bug and you can access the nvcp from start...
