Well in 7 I just ran windows update and it found the driver for wifi. XP has been known to be a bitch about connecting to the internet. I know my chip works because it works fine in ubuntu.

It says in device manager "1394 Net Adapter". I checked and it is the right driver. Manual installation/search for it via windows update just say it has the best one installed.

I have a pretty powerful machine, yet windows7 tells me that it's low on memory even when explorer isn't running. Task manager says 3.51 out of 4gb in use, and the largest process is ie9 (52,668k)...

I have those apple hfs drivers because I needed to read a Mac drive. I also have apple iPhone drivers for my iPhone. And I don't know how to do this if I can't get into the os.
