so i tried changing out the cables and doing a clean all in diskpart. the cable change had no effect and the clean allcommand failed at some percentage saying that the file could not be found.

i have looked and made sure the cable was connected securely and even tried a different port on the motherboard, same thing happened. though i didnt try replacing the cable, as it seemed a lil too...
