How do we stop windows explorer from auto arranging my name?

In windows XP I could right click and choose to UNcheck the option in each folder for Auto arrange icons.

Then every time a new file was created in that folder it would appear at the end after...

When you click on a open program that's minimized then as it is restored it sometimes goes a little slower than I'd like it to go.
