No DVI signal detected after Win 7 updates processed

Wonder if anyone can help with two (hopefully, unrelated) problems. I clean-installed Win 7 64 bit on a brand new build.

Problem 1: BIOS sees both SATA II HDDs (set as IDEs) but Win 7 only sees...
