I have tried this and thought it was the fix until I lost video again 20 minutes later.

ATI Radeon4650hd video card issue with windows 7 64bit

After I power up my system and get to to the desktop, I lose the video and have to reboot my computer in safe mode. I sometimes get a message that says "display driver has stopped but has recovered"...
