No the modem is directly into the USB port. There is no other equipment, the ethernet ports are empty.

The specific modem is the E220 Huawei.

No its a USB Modem.

The host PC connection to the internet is fine, I dont want to access the internet with the Virtual XP, I just want to be able to run my printer off it.

I've managed to set up the Intergration Services fine now but there is still no joy. Both work groups are set to be "Workgroup" and I have also turned off/left the Wins 7 Homegroup.
