Doesn't detect displays

I have windows 7 64 bit with an ATI HD4770 card. I run a crt monitor plus an HD LCD TV.
When I boot the computer the Catalyst center loses my display profiles. I have the most recent driver already....

I can't find any drivers (that work) that offer changes to duplex that could be the prob I guess. Maybe this Atheros AR5009 is just a POS lol

As a test I plugged the laptop into the router...

As a test I plugged the laptop into the router with a cable and transfered files from my pc and got about 10mbs speed instead. So it definately just transfers slow over the wireless (1.5 mbs)

Need networking help

I have 2 home computers joined through windows 7 home network:

1 is a desktop connected to the d link draft n router via a cable. The other is a laptop with an Atheros wireless n adapter.
