Backup and complete a clean install. Consider creating a Ghost image after you have everything back up so that you can always revert to that "clean" state.

Media Center won't resume playback of ripped movies

I've searched and searched online, but I cannot find the answer to this.

I rip my dvd movies to *.wtv files and place the files in //movies. Playback is great and YAMMM picks up all metadata...
