Removing a Hard Drive while in dual boot

I am in a dual boot system with Win7 on 1st HD and Win Xp on my 2nd HD.

I want to remove the HD with just XP on it from the system and only have the HD with Win 7. When i tried removing the xp HD...

ok so i did that and it did not boot into xp but...

ok so i did that and it did not boot into xp but rather it came up something about making a dos disk and had options about AHCI and stuff.

The one booted is always C: (usually) do you have an XP install CD?



Are XP and Windows 7 on different / separate...

dual boot reformat questions

So i have a dual boot system win7/xp set up now and want to reformat the c drive which has win 7

do i reformat this drive like any other drive and will i lose my dual boot settings?

thankyou that solved that problem, here is just an annoying one i know have the dual boot menu and it says windows 7 professional recovered and win xp i ran the startup repair butit wont get rid of...

So i have two hard drives. The larger one has windows 7 installed on it. the smaller one is new and so i decided to install win xp on it.

with both drives plugged in i successfully installed win...

Windows 7 Student Upgrade HELP

I know this question has been done to death, but I can't find the right response. I have a New HDD (no operating system on it). Is it possible to install windows 7 using the student upgrade version....
