Yes, it is turned on, this switch turns on/off wlan and bluetooth. If it was off, I wouldn't be able to use wlan.

The BT device worked fine on XP.

My computer is a HP 4515s, 4GB RAM, AMD turion x2 dual core 2.3 GHz, Broadcom 4322AG 802.11a/b/g/draft-n Wi-Fi Adapter
and now running windows 7 professional, 64 bit

the bluetooth device worked...

It did not work. I downloaded the bluetooth drivers for my computer for win XP. Using the guidliunes on this forum, I ran it on compatibility mode, but it did not instal, saying it is for XP and 2000...
