Yeah, all my other games ran utterly perfect on my machine as well. Mass Effect was definately an exception with its stuttering. Did turning off the indexing help?

Well.. the motherboard BIOS was flashed at the point of purchase. They said it was the latest; but I didn't do the operation, so maybe it's not right. I will try re-flashing it to the latest...
