Problem Fixed with Recent Windows 7 Update

I was not able to fix the problem until an update, from Windows 7, downloaded & installed on my computer - titled something along the line of, "Windows Compatibility...

HP Color Laserjet 3500 worked with Vista; not 7

With 32bit Vista Ultimate, the HP Color Laserjet 3500 printer worked fine. I just upgraded to Windows 7 and when I plugged the printer cable into the computer it started to download drivers, etc......
