Yeh, had a virus a couple of months ago. Used malwarebytes to remove it and worked fine for a good few weeks after that.

Have a look. Ive tried following the instructions but this level is a bit beyond me. Thanks for the help though. At least i can still use firefox.

if i open IE9 via run: iexplore.exe -nohome -extoff then a blank internet explorer opens. But when i type a page into the address bar explorer closes and all that shows is the downloaded screen...

Veiw downloads is all that shows when Internet Explorer 9 starts

When i start Internet Explorer 9 (O/S windows 7 ultimate 64bit) it opens for a split second then closes leaving the veiw downloads screen up, with the homepage in it as if i have tried to download...
