Did a driver download from official Gateway site. All that downloaded was a folder with HX2000.INF and HX2000.ICM. No executable file. But I tried to shutdown anyway and it restarted.

I got to thinking about that day 1 comment and think the restart upon shutdown issue didn't start until the last complete reinstall of Win 7 which was done by the dealer's tech. Which makes me think...
