Music folder display vs folder content display

Is there a way I can set this up so that when I open my Music folder that the sub folders inside are displayed in list view but when I open a sub folder the content is displayed in detail view...

maxseven...I've done all those things too and still it comes back. I also tried hooking it up in XP Mode on th 7 laptop to see if that would make any difference and the answer is...no it didn't. :mad:

I already did a system restore which didn't make any difference. It's not so much that I want the recycle bin on the taskbar anymore; it's more that I want to be able to unlock/lock the task bar.

Thanks for all the responses guys. I've thrown in the towel on this one. It never happened when using with the XP machine so I'm putting it down to another quirk of the Windows 7 Operating System :(

$RECYCLE.BIN Folder keeps reappearing...

...on my external hard drive. And it's annoying to say the least. I'm using Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and I have the hard drive in question set to bypass the recycle bin in the recycle bin properties....
