? about tabs in taskbar

When I curse over a tab that I have opened in the taskbar..it will pop a little picture (1" x 2" or so) of that window up directly over the taskbar...however, when my g-friend puts the mouse on a tab...

hate to say it, cause i used windows media player for YEARS... but, I've downloaded Real Player SP (for Free) and LOVE IT ! It recognizes the artist right away, and setting up your library IS as easy...

W7 virus scan ?

i've heard that you don't need to install a virus scan/anit-virus programs, becasue Windows 7 has it's onw.. "built in".. IS THIS TRUE ? I was going to install AVG, but.. I'm not sure i need too.....

WHY ?? I'm Trying to burn a movie using Windows Media Center and it's a .avi file extension. It keeps telling me it's a "unsupported file type". What file type(s) ARE supported ??
