maybe it is your hard disk, i have a 5400 rpm...

maybe it is your hard disk, i have a 5400 rpm hard disk and its working fine
even i have an intel core 2 duo P7350 @ 2.00 GHz and a total 5878 MB ram
try defragging your hard disk
