First enable Quicklaunch bar, i don't think that big icons in taskbar can be set in 2 row. quicklaunch has smaller.
and just unlock taskbar and drag it as wide as you wish.

Right-click taskbar - Toolbars - Links
This will enable Links in taskbar.
Set as many links as you wish.

Taskbar highlight off

Is there any way to turn off open window highlightning in taskbar?
Not flashing on incoming msg etc.
Would be great if possible like on image (at least for me)
