    This thing worked , I tried it with some maleware links and picked up a bunch of stuff
    it even shows a list of what it scanned!

    Didn't see this litttle ripper mentioned really quite effective at "rooting out" - rootkits.

    Got a friends machine to spit one out the other day as he couldn't download SP1 for his Windows 7 because of it.

    GMER - Rootkit Detector and Remover takes a while but worth it though!!

    Nearly forgot this one too

    How to remove malware belonging to the family Rootkit.Win32.TDSS (aka Tidserv, TDSServ, Alureon)?

    OPSWAT’s Metascan Online, Virus Total Alternative


    OPSWAT, the company behind AppRemover, has started Metascan Online. It is similar in many respects to VirusTotal – as the following screen shots indicate.





    Currently scanning with 19 AVs, this was just started a few days ago, so expect it to improve.

    Look s to me that this has been revamped a bit unless I am beginning to forget stuffLOL!!

Eset Online Scanner ?

Unable to get Eset Free Online Scanner. Get a message (unable to get proxy settings) I have never got this before. I don't use a proxy of any kind. Tried using Firefox and I.E.10 same results.
I googled how to open ports and it told me go in to windows firewall>advanced setting>new rule etc. I want to install a game so I need certain ports to be open and unrestricted. When I used online port checker sites they all say the required ports aren't open. What's the deal here?
