Thank goodness...a slow month. The last few months have resulted in quite a bit of time spent reviewing patches for WSUS deployment at work.

I'm getting update error 80200053 on Malicious Software Removal Tool x64 KB890830 11/9/10 Update. Tried it many times with the same error result and seems to be happening during the download? I've had no problems with all the other updates till now. Anyone know what this error is? thanks

UPDATE: Found fix info on MS and will post for others who search this forum since this error is common:

Here's what worked for me & how to fix the error:
1) Click "Start" > "Run" > type "services.msc" > press "Enter Button"
2) Scroll down to "Windows Installer" and Start the Service
3) Now try updating
