Windows 7: Microsoft removes Autorun feature

Well at least you can get the same info by just going into Computer, which is like 2 clicks ... so no great loss...

The biggest problem is with infected flash/UBS drives.
Users don't know what files are infected when using someone else's (or even their own) UBS drives to run automatically ... This is a very important update and I'm all for it!

I use Vipre and there is an check the block option to scan USB devices when plugged in. You can disable it but if your plugging in someone else's USB drive, it is a good idea to let it scan the drive.

Vipre is my anti-virus program.

very good sound advice to set your security software to scan thumb drives when attached if supported my kaspersky does this for me.
