Patch Tuesday, Dec 13 2011

Just received, via Windows Update, 8 updates for my Office 2010 64-bit, 7 for my Windows 7 x64 and another one for Visual Studio 2010, something Office-related.

A total of 16 important updates, 208.7Mb total.

Waiting for install to complete, usually I have no patch issues, hope today's are no different.

On my two systems I had 7 for Office 2010 that did not require a restart and 7 for Windows 7 that required a restart. I did the Windows 7 updates and then restarted. Then I did the Office 2010 updates and all went clean on both systems. I used Macrium to do an image before and after the updates as is my normal procedure. I believe in safety first. I wear a belt and suspenders.

I stole that line from Justin Wilson the Cajun story teller. He was a Safety Engineer and started telling Cajun jokes during his safety seminars.
