Their must be thousands of people doing these bad things. This is the first time I have ever seen numbers put with it. I have no conception how Google checks all these sites and tries to block them.

Give Google enough cash, and they'd replace a genuine link with a malicious one.

Is there a possibility that Google recognizes these websites when they update their search index? Just a thought, though I would have no idea if this is how it works (forever noob xD)
