Is this true for RTM though...

Microsoft was busy ripping out all kinds of stuff like this AFTER the last preview. We really don't know what will or won't work in the RTM (At least not till wed at the earliest)

I have up to date antivirus and I am careful with what I download, so Microsoft, I'm NOT turning off my gadgets no matter how much you want me to.
Same here buddy, I think we Gadget folk should start the Gadget Resistance Army and stick two fingers up to those who provided this mess!

I'm with windude on this one as my Kaspersky is really good at picking them especially from Adobe and Java - which I guess are fair game to the hackers as we all well nearly all use those sites eh?

Looking at Win8 RC's Sidebar properties, it has a file version of 6.2.8400.0, with a modified date of 5/18/2012, and size of 1.3 MB (0.1 smaller than Windows 7's) considering these, I doubt MS will be removing this since they obviously did some work on it for Win 8.
