Well a littler faster boot up time is always nicer.
I myself wish even my Windows 7 would boot up as fast as my Ubuntu Ultimate Edition 3.4 would.
Read more at:Now that Microsoft's Windows 8 operating system has hit the release-to-manufacturing (RTM) stage, it's time to see how it stacks up against the incumbent Windows 7.
Can the upcoming operating system keep up with -- or even beat -- Windows 7, or does Microsoft still have work to do to optimize performance?

Nice speed, horrible multitask handling... I hope W9 includes this level of speed with the way Windows 7 handles multitask...
Thanks for the info Brink :)
Why did they bother to improve transcoding performance, when they want you to use the useless Apps instead of real programs?
The difference in boot times is negligible.
BTW, similar to what I observed on my PC (6 - 9 seconds quicker).
Thanks for the link, Brink.
