Your welcome lehnerus2000.

I use the PSI version and find that it does a good job reminding me of the updates that I need.
I have mine set for "Prompt before running automatic updates" in Configuration/Settings, and it won't update until I give approval.

There are sometimes though, that I will find out about an update before it does, like the recent Adobe flash, so, in that case I force a scan, it reports whats needed and I tell it to install, and within 5" (minutes) I'm good again.

I downloaded it a couple of years ago, but I never got around to installing it.

After the latest Avast program update, it now warns me about updates for some programs (like Flash).

Have been running this since it's invention, it's really great, especially when one has many pc's to take care of. Am running it manually (service > manual) once a month or so, and it often picks up an update or two that I'd otherwise miss or be very late in installing. Am still using the 2.0 version, somehow like the interface, but most will probably prefer the uncluttered looks of 3.0.

And some very interesting figures in the vulnerability review, thanks for posting.

I've been busy and offForum for the last few days, and want to thank all of you for your kind words.

A lot of v2.0 users created a brouhaha when version 3.0 came out, thought the newer version didn't offer as much information and seemed more difficult to run/slower.

I tried 3.0 and didn't like the feel of it so I'm back to 2.0.4003

If anyone would like to try v2.0 go to this page: https://secunia.com/products/consumer/PSI/sys_req/
Look to the right hand panel and below the download for v3.0 under "older versions" you will see links for v2.0, and even 1.0.
