I too use FireFox as my default and choice browser alongside Pale Moon (an x64 FireFox variation), but even FireFox isn't bulletproof. Actually, absolutely no program in the existence of forever has ever and will ever be bulletproof of a Malware infiltration or attack. Sure, it seems safe now, but all it take is for one motivated person to find one small exploit to use at they please, usually involves spreading the news to their buddies.
Thus updates and patches.

Speak for yourself I dumped firefox because it kept doing corrupt processes that browser blows balls now sorry to say 2 years ago I would have put my word on the line for firefox but hell it disappointed me this passed year

Everyone needs to pay attention to "all" browser add-on's and extentions!

Watch for the "bundled apps" when downloading, and make sure you uncheck the foistware you don't want! (Foistware is any additional software that is installed that doesn't relate to the program the user is installing.)
