Most corporate computers missing critical software updates

87 percent of corporate computers are missing critical software updates that could threaten business security, according to F-Secure data from around 200,000 workstations mostly in Europe.

My question would be why. Surly by now they or the I.T. department should know of such security risk.

How does one update the Flash Player remotely?
And Java, how do you push those updates out?

Well, from my experience I could suppose why they don't update this software so often. When I was on IT department on 2003, the SQL database along with the software needed internet explorer 5.5 and only that one, in v6 the app crashed miserably, so they never updated explorer until 2010...

Seems to be more of a soft compatibility rather than anything

There hasn't been any critical updates for Win 7,right?
Has there been any critical updates for Windows 7? At least I haven't seen anyone. But it is very rare, because they always send some critical updates in their first month, and there's been zero. Or, am I wrong?
