What's the greatest security risk?

Quote:
While boardrooms across the U.S. report growing prioritization of endpoint security, risk continues to grow and evolve and IT departments are racing to keep up, according to a study by the Ponemon Institute.

Endpoint security threats have become more difficult to stop or mitigate in the last two years, say 71 percent of the 676 IT and IT security professionals responding to the study. Topping the list of this year's greatest risks is mobile devices.

More than 75 percent said mobile devices pose the biggest threat in 2014, up from just 9 percent in 2010. Additionally, 68 percent say their mobile devices have been targeted by malware in the last 12 months, yet 46 percent of respondents say they do not manage employee-owned mobile devices.

The only device without much security at all is a cell device ie phone,
It's really weird people do almost anything on a phone but have zero security on them,
Banking/ purchases....
You can't fix dumb.
Heck I worry about passwords being lifted of of the darn device but I do have a Iphone but in reality I still do not believe it is anymore safe than anything else no matter what some articles might suggest,
Thieves... hit popular devices period.

Just think when these people attach their mobile phone to their computer; wifi or other wise. A whole other bag of worms opens up.
None of the people I know that have cell phones have any idea what portable device security is and don't want to be bothered. There lies the weak link.

The biggest security risk are the people using those devices. Many people click on anything in sight. You can lower your internet risk by using Linux for the web. I have always a virtual partition with Mint on standby and when I have to go to an unknown site, I use that.
