There are a lot of people surfing the Internet everyday that are looking for new anonymous surfing tools that will allow them to protect their identity while the browse around. There are some web-based applications available that will let you surf without disclosing your personal IP address, called web anonymizers, but there are some limitations that come with them.

I am a big fan of Zone Alarm products. They have one that does the anonymous surfing thing. It was called Force Field I believe. Anyway I bought it and everytime I went to a site, I would have to click some buttom to let me in. It was just a big headache and it did not take me long before I uninstalled it.

I am using Anonymizer for a quite some time now and so far so good. For $79.99 home user I can say it was the best deal I got. I tried their trial version first before buying.

hi...Force Field is a sandbox/virtualization software which Blocks unauthorized downloads/Provides antiphishing protection/Blocks keystroke logging attempts/and other threats from reaching your system...anonymous browsing means traces of your web session i.e. all cookies, history, bookmarks and other traces are erased once you close the browser

Anonymous surfing through simple cgi proxies or vpn like tor/xerobank is different...
it means your real ip is masked by the one provided by the proxy.the big question is of reliability...for mitm attacks/poor encryption/logging has to be carefully evaluated before jumping on the anonymity bandwagon as is evident from ultrasurf saga
