Fake AV, now for Windows 7!

Itís been over a year since we first started seeing the familiar Windows XP My Computer page where it appears your drives are being scanned and it reports a bunch of non-existent malware on your computer. Yesterday I was investigating the latest hot news item where there was a FAMU (Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University) sex tape released on the internet and sure enough I found many SEO poisoned links claiming to have the video. I also believe with a number of these sites that clicking the x in the upper right hand corner is the same as clicking on the OK to install button. You more or less need to open task manager and end task on your browser of you get whatever they try to load.

You are right and good spotting. A lot of us here will look that closely especially if it pops up in a browser; but the fast majority of folks out there will not be as astute.
