An email link will always be browser based unless you had somehow linked http with the sf app on your phone, which tbh would screw up the rest of the net for you.
It would only screw up the rest of the Internet with the generic Tapatalk app installed, I think. With a branded one, it offers a bit more flexibility.
How it would need to be setup is you register an Intent with
www.sevenforums.com. If there's no SF app installed then the browser will automatically handle the link. If a sevenforums app is installed, then the user can choose how they wish to open this link (via their browser or the SF app).
