Well I finally bought an Android based phone - Galaxy S3, was using Windows based phones.

Anyway I downloaded the sevenforums app and it works pretty well when accessing the website from it. However when I get an e-mail notification on a post I did here and click the link within the email I get a different experience than the one using the app - basically going through the e-mail link ignores the app.

Am I doing something wrong or is this the design of the app?

An email link will always be browser based unless you had somehow linked http with the sf app on your phone, which tbh would screw up the rest of the net for you.

An email link will always be browser based unless you had somehow linked http with the sf app on your phone, which tbh would screw up the rest of the net for you.

It would only screw up the rest of the Internet with the generic Tapatalk app installed, I think. With a branded one, it offers a bit more flexibility.

How it would need to be setup is you register an Intent with www.sevenforums.com. If there's no SF app installed then the browser will automatically handle the link. If a sevenforums app is installed, then the user can choose how they wish to open this link (via their browser or the SF app).
