downloaded it and had a few minutes play.

no problems logging in, but noticed a couple of problems:
  1. the occasional avatar is AWOL on the PM tab

  2. i'm getting errors when clicking some of the user names on the 'More...who's online' page - i see 'receiving from server' then 'invalid user id' then the phone hangs at 'processing...' leading to a blank white screen if i hit my phone's back button. the occasional user works, but i get the error maybe 75% of the time?

i don't really want to give a market review until the app's working 100%

Sorry
The application Seven Forums (process com.quoord.tapatalksevenforums.activity) has stopped unexpectedly.
Please try again.
Force close.

After clicking Force close, it then just goes back to the logo window and reloads the site, but I still can't go to any posts.
Hi Joan,
Go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>SevenForums>Clear Data and Clear Cache.
This should help prevent the Force Close errors.
Didn't make any difference Dinesh. I could clear the Cache but to clear the data meant uninstalling the app, it was tied in with that, anyway I did uninstall and do a new download and install but still get the same message when trying to go to any posts.

Might just be because you're using such an older version of Android OS. 1.6 is it? Might not work on that old a version.

That's what John thought although he did say it should as it's listed as for version 1.5 and later and yes Aaron mine is 1.6. He was going to mention it to someone, but I'm not going to worry too much if I can't get it to work as I'd much rather come to the forum on my computer which is here for me all day plus it's much easier to read posts on a 22" monitor than a couple of inches of phone screen.

Another thing that annoys me about the phone is that if I'm trying to scroll using my finger there are times it wont but instead opens whatever my finger has landed on, even worse if it's stopped and I'm trying to find a space to start the scroll off again.

I'll keep an eye on things here but it may be I'd need a newer version of Android, or just a newer phone, which would be nice but impossible at present.

Thanks Julian I'd never thought of that and yes I have Nintendo DS's, in fact I have 2 the DS Lite and the DSi XL, so I could try one of the stylus from them, the XL comes with another one more like a pen for when you're using drawing or writing games.

The only problem would be not always having the stylus to hand, so to speak.

stick it behind yer ear

actually the lg pen stylus is quite cheap to buy and can be attached to your phone like a phone charm ,you just whip it out when you want it and pop it back when done , said the bishop to the actress.

If theres upgrades,or a final verson as compared to the one that was available in the thread here, i'll have to figure out another way. I only have SlideME app store and Amazon on my tablet. Only drawback to not blowing a ton of money for a big brand.
