Windows 7 - Norton Antivirus 2009 incompabile with 7????

| | Norton Antivirus 2009 incompabile with 7???? I was setting up Windows 7 RC7100 on my custom earlier today and ran into an issue with my trial ver. of Norton AV 2009. Norton installed fine, but after reboot, Norton would not load (at boot or by launching program manually). Win 7 said something about incompatibility... Any truth to that? |

| | Norton Antivirus is not compatible with Win 7 as it can't run the heuristics engine, which renders the av worthless. There are special versions of Norton 360 and Internet Security 2009, that will work for Windows 7, but you'll need a license. I've tried many av solutions compatible with Windows 7 and so far avast is the best because it doesn't affect the OS responsiveness. |
