Dear Grimmjow,
Hope this finds You well and I appreciate your reply. I cannot figure out how to use this freeware. I simply need a way to gain control of all color parameters, i.e., button text, window text, etc. I cannot understand why this functionality is not present.
I prefer a high-contrast screen color set-up, i.e., white letters on a black screen. The Win 7 color set-up - very low contrast - seems calculated to maximize eye strain.
Even worse, selecting high-contrast colors for one parameter, creates a low-contrast or no-contrast situation elsewhere, because of linkages that should not be present.
If there's no way to break these linkages, then this is simply a product defect. I've used MS products for decades. There are, at Microsoft, those, who delight in taking things that work, and causing them not to work. Such beings come from distant galaxies, whereon - perhaps - different Physics prevail.
It would be well if MS contracted with NASA (or the European Space Agency) to repatriate these beings, and then replaced them with Earth residents.
Until then, I have a far faster computer that is far harder to use, than was a slower - but far more user-friendly - system, that ran XP Pro.
Thanks again for your willingness to help!! I'm much obliged.
Yours faithfully,
Topspook
