That is very nice of you to say that (especially in print) you have learned a lot from my humorous posts.
I don't even come close to the great (posts) ones here but I do approach it from the lighter side.
Have a great week-end Steve....Now turn up the volume and let's Rock On!

You don't need to use the registry cleaner when running Ccleaner. Just clean out cookies, temps, history, etc...

Jacee is spot on. I recommend that you don't use the registry cleaner portion unless you know precisely what you are doing.

CCleaner Enhancer works with either the installed version or the portable version of CCleaner, and all it really does is modify the WinApp2.ini file to allow extra rules adding potential support for more than 270 applications to the program.

This is my CCleaner installation's applications list after using CCleaner Enhancer and the entries that CCleaner Enhancer added are marked with an *...

Out of the 270+ additional applications that could potentially be added by CCleaner Enhancer I have 10 of them installed on my computer as indicated in the screenshot above. So far I've seen the highest number of new files detected for removal by CCleaner from the Windows Update Logs, but there have also been files from GIMP and Macromedia Flash 10.

So what's the big deal? I've been using CCleaner every day for over 2 years and for me it was the first opportunity I've ever come across to be able to double the number of applications in its cleaning roster and as a result see 10-15 MB of new and never before detected files that CCleaner is now able to find and offer for deletion each and every day all for free just like CCleaner is. So far on my Win 7 x64 computer CCleaner Enhancer has upgraded the quality of CCleaner's already solidly sterling performance to golden...

Windows 7 Ultimate (x64) SP1

A lot of those downloads are from the same people regularly updating tho. People who use it or programs like it are in the minority. Most people never even think that computers require maintenance. I asked a work colleague if he serviced his car regularly. "Of course!" he replied. "What about your computer?" I asked. Blank stare was all he could come up with

This is so sadly typical. The last time I visited my sister she couldn't figure out why her computer was taking 30 minutes to load her email. After removing 100+ pieces of Malware and cleaning several Gigabytes of junk files out of her computer with CCleaner her XP computer not only retrieved her email in seconds flat, but the computer's internet download speed exceeded the stated rate of her ISP by about 10%!

I think with the latest version CCleaner added detection of WMP files. Or at least I never saw them before. When I run CCleaner with WMP selected under Applications it finds over 1 million KB of Art Cache .jpg files (sample attached). Can these be safely deleted? I use iTunes as my media...

CCleaner 2.23 bug
