    Changing Java cache location

    Hi, all

I installed Java (jre 6_21) in a ramdisk on a Windows 7 machine and everything works well, except that I can no longer change the Java cache location (the "Change" button is grayed out). I unstalled Java, and reinstalled it, this time not in a ramdisk, but the cache location remains unalterable. On my Windows XP computers with jre_18 (not installed in a ramdisk), the Java cache location "Change" option is available.

Does anyone know how the Java cache location can be altered in Windows 7?

    Thanks!

Try booting in safe mode (F8) to prevent ramdisk from launching. why would you want a ram disk anyway. whats your system specs?
