Windows 7: Anyone know how to get rid of peers in Bittorrent??

HI

Is there anyway i can remove the amount of peers on my torrent download? This one is taking ages!

Or at least increase the number of seeds?



i urgently NEED this file!

It is a 6 gig file of course it is going to take a while in torrents. You cant knock off peers or add seeds. If we knew what the file was and if it were legal of course we could help.

Maximum connected peers per torrent
Only use torrents for legal activities.

if im not mistaking you can decide the upload spead for evry torrent so just make it to somthing low.

If people aren't seeding then there is NOTHING you can do to increase the number of seeds except to post back on the site where you downloaded the torrent requesting more people to seed.

Now I don't CARE what you are downloading -- that's not my call to make -- but be aware that a lot of ISP's now CAP torrent download speeds - especially from well known torrent sites -- the users of those know what sites I'm referring to.

The only way around THAT problem is to sign up to a private vpn service that is also friendly to p2p activities such as YourPrivateVPN | Privacy Solutions

thanks for your replies. Lemur's answer was closest to what I was looking for. I am using it for legally and its for religious reasons.
