    GIGATweaker 3.1.2 build 451


    hi all
    just wondering has anyone tried or using this software on windows 7??? http://www.7room.net/gigatweaker/

    Haven't tried it, but I like CNET reviews. They were favorable, with the exception of one quote:
    "Tweaking Windows can jazz up your system or crash it, depending on the changes you make."
    I always get a nervous feeling making registry changes. As they said, be sure to back up your registry if you decided to try it.

    FWIW: this review covers quite a few of the apps tweaks.

    Tweak Windows 7 Using GIGATweaker [Review And Download]

    Of particular note is the final paragraph: "GIGATweaker is useful especially if you know what exactly you are doing. Except for few typos in programs interface, it’s a great program for your Windows 7 PC. Note that you should use this program with caution and more importantly know what you are doing. Because there are some crucial features which when used incorrectly may make your PC unstable and inoperative."

    Although it does give the option to set a system restore point, I would very strongly urge creating a system image. Restore points don't always fix every problem but a system image will always get you back to your last good system configuration.
