Windows 7: Windows Live Sync Problem

I hope someone can help.

I recently updated my computer from Windows Vista - Windows 7 Ultimate, before I updated I made sure everything I needed was copyed onto my memory stick, however there were a few things that couldn't go on the stick. I decided to use windows live sync and sync the folders from what was then vista to windows live sync. Once I updated to 7 I downloaded and installed windows live sync however when I clicked sync it downloaded the pictures but not propperly they are in a format called windows live sync placeholder
