directx error hi all hopefully im putting this in the right place.
ive been trying to update directx for a couple days now with not much success, originally when installing it failed and indicated an issue with cryptographic service and or corrupt cab file, i download full setup from Microsoft, it installed fine however today i tried to install mafi 2 and when it got to install DX it failed again and pointed me at the install logs, problem is i cant make head nor tail of them can anyone here help decipher them for me
ive attached dxdiags, dxerror.log, directx.log | My System Specs |

Have you tried this?
Set the Cryptographic Services to Automatic, and then try to install the program again. To set the Cryptographic Services to Automatic, follow these steps: - Start the Administrative Tools utility in Control Panel.
- Double-click Services.
- Right-click Cryptographic Services, and then click Properties.
- Click Automatic for Startup type, and then click Start.

Is this a cross post of the Vista Forums issue, or is this another problem? Thanks!
In relation to this, as we can see from the dxerror.log, this is a corruption of the web installer cache. If necessary, we can clean this out, but first: Can you please ignore the error you received during the install of your game, and just see if the game works?

Please show Hidden Files and Folders: Hidden Files and Folders - Show or Hide
Then try again. Make sure not to delete the DirectX folder, but the DirectX\WebSetup folder. It should be located in System32, but if it is still not visible, delete the one (remember - WebSetup only) from SysWOW64.
Turn off Hidden files when done.
