    Icon missing when I 'Pin to Taskbar'


    Icon is missing when I pin a programme to the taskbar.

    Okay let's say I want to pin Fraps to the Taskbar, after a few days the icon (see screen shot) will disappear from the taskbar and a default icon of a file or folder will replace it.

    Hello xXSevenXx,

    Did you happen to delete or move the original Frapps item that you right clicked on to pin it to the taskbar when this happened?

    If not, then see if rebuilding the icon cache may help.

    As a test, see if pinning the program's EXE file from the "Program Files" or "Program Files x86" folder may work better.

    I may have pinned it by dragging the desktop shortcut to the taskbar, then deleted it.
    I'll pin it by using the programmes EXE.
