    Crazy Question

Some may laugh at this, but I just got to thninking about something....

I have Adobe Acrobat, Distiller, and Adobe Reader 9. Do I need the Adobe Reader if I have Acrobat? I don't seem to know what the Reader can do that my Acrobat can do.

    Thanks!

Both Adobe Reader and Acrobat read PDF files. But AFAIK, if Reader is installed before you install Acrobat, then Acrobat will ask which viewer you want to be the default viewer. However, if you install Reader on a computer with Acrobat already installed, then Adobe Reader becomes the default viewer.

Point is, you should be fine if you uninstall the Reader.

Thanks! That is what I was hoping, thinking

I did Acrobat 1st when I reinstalled my OS last time. This morning when I was upgrading the Reader I thought about this. One less piece of software I can do without.
